A New Era at Ferragamo: Meet The Studio Bag by Paul Andrew

Have you been waiting with bated breath for Paul Andrew‘s bag debut at Ferragamo? I have! And I’m happy to report the Studio Bag, his first for the storied Italian house aptly named for the founder’s first studio, does not disappoint! Paul’s modern interpretation on Ferragamo’s classic handbags is one for serious bag collectors. Many have tried but few have succeeded in the marriage of lady like structure with effortless style. A sophisticated and roomy tote with a lightweight profile and the slightest nonchalant slouch thanks to butter-soft Italian calfskin, you won’t find a more versatile bag this Fall. Of course I expected nothing less from the winner of the 2016 CFDA Swarovski Award for Accessory Design! Paul’s been a personal favorite of mine for years, and since the debut of his eponymous shoe line , he’s cultivated a loyal following of shoe loving Hollywood A listers whom I expect will be clamoring for different iterations of his debut bag collection for Salvatore Ferragamo.

So, what makes the Studio Bag so covetable? The option of four different sizes in multiple colors and prints with the iconic glistening Gancini buckle for easy access with a single turn (the outer flap is decorative only). Did I mention there’s a removable pouch perfect for quick errands, school runs or a casual night out? You’re feeling me here, I know you are. But not feeling top handles because you need both hands free? No problem, an easily removable strap allows for crossbody/shoulder slinging so you can text and Instagram without missing a beat.

This is a bag you’ll want by your side whether you’re working, playing, or traveling! Premium editions include crocodile, ostrich and shearling that debuted on the Fall 2018 runway.  There are also two limited edition versions of the Studio Bag– a metallic silver and a colorblock. Decisions, decisions! I think the only problem with the Studio bag is too many fabulous options! Read on to discover your favorite new bag!
