Bally Cecyle Bag: The Love Story Lives On

Bally is a brand defined by romance, and its simple elegance is irresistible. From its very first foray into fashion in 1850, when Swiss manufacturer Carl Franz Bally brought home an entire size run of fine leather boots to ensure that his beloved wife Cecyle had the perfect fit, it’s been a brand that leaves behind little love notes in all that it does. For those of us who live for a good love story, the new Cecyle bag delivers fairy tale caliber adoration in the sleekest of packages.

Designed to honor its namesake in both design and functionality, it’s the perfect addition to a brand known for timeless, yet on trend styles. A love letter I just can’t get enough of, I dropped everything to pick it up in both the small and large sizes before they had a chance to sell out! What I adore most about Bally’s latest must-have bag is how easy and effortless the styling is, without sacrificing any of the details that make my busy life as a working mom a little easier.

The signature magnetic keyhole clasp keeps essentials easily accessible, but secure enough that I don’t have to worry about anything getting left behind when I’m rushing from appointment to appointment. There’s even a zippered compartment within arms reach for city dwellers who need a little more security. If you’re anything like me, getting a crossbody to lay just right on the body can be endlessly frustrating! The Cecyle is one of the few bags that avoids this misstep thanks to the chicly designed and well thought out strap hardware (don’t even get me started on those awkward lobster clasps found on most crossbody straps!).

Truly a timeless piece for powerful women with style, grace, and places to be, the Cecyle had me at hello. You can add it to your collection in calf leather with either a smooth or crocodile embossed finish (sold out at Bally but FarFetch still has it in stock!), and comes in both large and small sizes so that like Cecyle Bally, you too can find your perfect fit.

Not only a fun run around, the larger size functions well for a busy day of meetings in and out of the office for me. And I’m not just saying this because I’m working with Bally! If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know I’ve been carrying this bag non-stop!

The sizes are different enough to justify having two Cecyles. I use the smaller version for evenings as well!

Stunning bag! But I think this is something I need to see in person as the frame is slightly structured. Thank you for the post and photos! Bless you

Love these bags! I did not know the back story of Bally. Thanks for sharing.
Ps- will you be posting your recipes on the blog? I’ve been following on stories but it would be great to have a point of reference here, too!

LIKE the bag. The interior size however may be a deal breaker for me. I hate swapping out my cards from my wallet. I’m such a Shlamazal that I know I will forget to swap them back! Card wallets can be small and thin. I have take a look at this bag more closely.
