Cat eyes are a basic look, but they’re not necessarily the easiest to master – and adding color to the equation adds more complexity to it. That said there’s never been a better time to try this look. Not only is it totally on trend – colorful cat eyes were all over the Spring/Summer 2017 runways – but there are so many innovative eye liners out these days that make precise application easier than ever (like this one from Tom Ford). And if all else fails, there’s always Glamsquad🙂
The easiest way to get this look, in my experience, is to start by applying a sheer, shimmery, colorful cream eye shadow from your lash line up using your index fingertip. Then use a precision eyeliner in black or, if you’re feeling extra bold, a metallic color and apply it from the center of your upper lash line past the outer corner of your eye, and slightly up towards your brow. Another relatively easy way to get this look is to use colored liner – you can use contrasting ones on your top and your bottom lash line. Don’t forget two coats of mascara either way!
