2018 must have set a record for long trains at the Met Gala! Almost every woman looked as though she was hiding 10 kids underneath her dress! I would have loved to see before and after images of the gowns…I can’t imagine how many foot prints all of them had at the end of the night! 2018 also seemed to set a record for over-the-top beading, all of which made for some seriously great fashion oogling. Celebrities and models always outdo themselves for the Met, but this year may be the first year where the “best” outweigh the “worst” and “wtf” by a landslide.
We loved that everyone pretty much stuck to the theme– The Met’s Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. Not only did it produce some of the best looks ever seen on the Met steps, but a breath-taking exhibit inside. Here’s a look at all the must-see looks– the good, the bad and the WTF.
Bee Shaffer and Anna Wintour
Sarah Jessica Parker
Rosie Huntington Whiteley
The Olsen Twins
Lana Del Rey and Jared Leto … though I am torn about this one!
