The Pre-Fall collections are usually the most wearable and commercial ones so it’s fitting that the beauty looks almost always follow suit – which is perfect for this time of year. Blizzard season isn’t exactly when we tend to want to experiment with neon pink eye shadow and over-the-top frizzy hair. With that said, here are some looks to inspire hair and makeup, now.
This season is all about Max Mara (because they make the best coats!) and the wet hair look is similarly a cold weather staple. I love how designers seemed to have embraced texture with their beauty looks this season.
Speaking of texture, checkout the beautiful curls at Ulla Johnson.
Long bangs are perfect for keeping cozy and flat hair – if you can avoid the static (try these out) – is great for hat season.
If you love bold looks, hair pieces like the above, which work indoors and outdoors, are perfect because you can go for deep colors and strong accents with your makeup.
As with the previous look, Chanel showed great hats that will work both outside and inside allowing the makeup to pop. The key is to go bold only with the eyes or just the lips.
For those that do like to experiment with out-of-the-box styles this time of year Cushnie and Ochs showed a beautiful graphic eye.
