NYFW STANDOUT BEAUTY TRENDS

NYFW has closed out with some solid beauty inspiration – as well as exciting previews of beauty products to come. Among the products debuted at NYFW are the MAC x Brandon Maxwell collection, Nars’ Climax mascara (seen at Rodarte), and Proenza Schouler x Lancome. Here’s a look at those and more!

In keeping with the clean and precise runway look, the Proenza Schouler x Lancome collection includes a pointy tip chubby pencil for meticulous application, but it also includes four lipstick shades and an eye palette with neutral as well as bolder shades.

The wet look is always a staple at Fashion Week, but this season it had a new twist – dripping tips! As seen above at Calvin Klein. It went well with the theme here – as evidenced by the Jaws top but I still prefer to see more movement in real life and on the runway.

Heading into winter, hats and all, soft close-to-the-scalp waves, like those seen at Zimmermann, are particularly inspiring.

Nails have become a focal point in seasons past and that was certainly the case at Priscavera where models nails’ were pierced with acrylic gems. I can get behind nail art, but I really hope nail jewelry isn’t something people start actually doing – not even as a one-nail accent! Am I the only one who gets the creeps looking at this? I just imagine what would happen if the jewel were to get caught on something!

While Rodarte took it to the max – in a good way – hair accessories were popular at a lot of shows this season and a trend I’m personally loving.

Is it wrong that I still love nothing more than a beautiful, clean makeup look like at Oscar de la Renta?

It’s hard to focus on the makeup with that hat box in clear sight! But for MAC lovers keep your eyes peeled for the forthcoming MAC x Brandon Maxwell collab which includes an eye shadow quad, lipstick, and lip gloss.
