The nail polish launches you need to know about

It’s easy to feel guilty about beauty splurges. Who really needs one more compact, especially when the prices keep climbing and climbing? Which is why I love nail polish. It’s a guilt-free purchase and can effect your look just as much as a good lipstick or blush. With the cooler weather I’ve been skipping my lights and pastels in favor of metallics and glitters and to that end there are two standout collections. First Sally Hansen Limited Edition Insta-Dri x Crayola Glam Rock. It’s the fourth and final collab but I have to admit, I never knew about the previous collaborations! I’m one click away from trolling eBay! Nostalgia is having a big moment in fashion  right now – brands like Champion, Fila, and even James Perse are popular again – and this ties well into this collection. I love the high coverage metallic shades and they’re quick-dry. There are 12 shade in all and they retail for $4.99 each.

Essie just launched a few collections, but my favorite is their glitter one, Concrete Glitters ($9 each). It’s essie’s first-ever crushed glitter polish and while it isn’t as steadfast as Deborah Lippmann’s glitter polish, glitter is always more difficult to remove so don’t forget to use a base coat! These offer buildable coverage so while I don’t layer, I could easily see these working well as layered polish.
