The Wellness Items That Your Wish List Needs

Wish List

Take a cue from all the Victoria’s Secret models and get into boxing. My boyfriend hates working out so a few months ago I signed him up for personal training with a boxing instructor. I figured it could make it less tedious and help him deal with work stress. It worked. In fact he now schedules in an extra session when he’s having a particularly tough work-week. If you’re considering taking a group class DON’T USE THEIR GLOVES!!! They are ALWAYS smelly and usually worn in. Everlast is good and all, but who wants to be run-of-the-mill?? Everything in the active-wear space is getting a high-fashion makeover and now even your boxing gear can with Kali Active. Seriously how awesome are the ones above? When you wear these – because they stand out – you will always feel the need to up my game and stay focused.

Wish List

Customize your tights! Alala not only lets you pick the color but you can customize your tights with your initials ($185). I got a pair last spring and despite having worn them what feels like a million times, they look brand new. I’ve said it a million times before, but Alala is top when it comes to quality.

Wish List

I bought the above top months ago and wear it all the time – I also wash it in my machine and don’t iron it and it STILL looks great. I have dozens of things from Koral; you can’t go wrong in my opinion with anything you buy.

Wish List

Get these limited edition New Balance x SB Exclusive Sneakers while you can ($145)! They were my best purchase on Black Friday. They’re more for cross-training than long or intense running sessions, but I’ve used them for my running warm-ups/trainer sessions and they’re perfect; just enough cushioning and they’re breathable. It’s also worth noting that New Balance are the best in terms of injury protection. My knees were always hurting when I was working out in Nike (it was hard to make the switch as Nike always seems to look the best, but so worth it).

Wish List

When it comes to outerwear (whether to get you to and from the gym or whether it’s to wear if you’re running/cycling/training outdoors), I still find Lululemon is the best. They blend function and design like no other. They’re constantly updating their inventory, but this one is a current fave.

Wish List

OK so this gift isn’t as fun as some of the others, but Burt’s Bees just launched a line of protein powders. They’re pea protein based, which is supposed to be easy to digest. I’m not big on protein powder, but between closing on my first apartment (it’s new construction so a big project!), planning my wedding and work there are days I haven’t eaten anything by the time I meet my personal trainer (even if it’s 5 or 6pm…), hopefully in 2017 I can break this bad habit and at least carry around a protein drink with me for some fuel.

Wish List

When people ask me how I stay in shape when I travel I always say Tracy Anderson! What she does other people always copy and that’s no different with her streaming. While there are countless other trainers now offering streaming (and at a lot lower prices), Tracy Anderson remains the best. Her workouts are the most engaging, her music is the best, and her breakdowns are the best for beginners.

Wish List

Health is wealth and that includes your teeth! I’ve been using Sonicare for 15 years and it’s the reason I haven’t had a cavity in as much time. They just launched their Diamond Clean Rechargeable Toothbrush in Rose Gold ($189.95) making their brush the first (along with their black version) to be one you’d actually want to get as a gift!
