YSL Shoe-Gasm Continues!

yslnewjeweled.jpgWill this ever stop? I can’t buy any more shoes but OMG– YSL just won’t stop tempting us! Sasha sent me this photo a couple of weeks ago and I tried to ignore it but can’t stop thinking about these amazing shoes. The Tribute platform’s latest incarnation, in taupe suede (so impractical but do we care?!?) with a glittering jewel on top. Swoon!

Apparently the recession/depression hasn’t hit the folks at YSL, these are priced at $1,145. I won’t be getting them but if you’d like to treat your feet to this jewel to celebrate the new year– Call or email Eddie Curtis at Bergdorf Goodman 212-872-8940

    Tina!

The recession and all is depressing and what not, but come on! You aren’t going to die tomorrow.

    Buy the shoes.

I’m sure that they would look great on you! =)

    Tina.

    I have something to say.

From reading your blog posts (which I thoroughly enjoy), I can easily see that you do want to cut back on your spending, and that is actually enviable seeing how you are internationally known for being a woman who became famous for her shopping, which is fabulous actually.

However, in my opinion, I don’t see why your husband would care if you bought a few extra bags or shoes.

I mean, he is married to a mini fashion icon.

    That is impressive.

I mean you live in Texas, like I do, and there are plenty of choice women here who are known internationally for their fashion sense, and you are indeed one of those women.

    Think about it.

When you get to be Lynn Wyatt’s age, people will still be referring to you in books and articles as “the bag snob” or I guess with age comes more subtlety, “Tina Craig – The Bag Snob”. Haha.

Basically, I understand that cutting back can be hard, but when your life (which it is) is in fashion, shopping should be seen merely as the method which you thicken your existence.

I mean, if it weren’t for you, then how would all these men and women know about these different designers that make the handbags, clothes, shoes and etc, that you blog about?

Sure. There are plenty of other fashion blogs.

    However what do they know?

They blog for fun. You blog because your life is in fashion.

I’m sure you know what I have said, but hey!

Throwing a little optimism someone else’s way to celebrate a new year never hurt right?
