We are all concerned about Coronavirus but that doesn’t mean we stop living our best lives or traveling (domestically at least). Instead, let’s all take reasonable pre-cautions: 1️⃣ WASH YOUR HANDS- and don’t shake hands (this is my pet peeve, I prefer bowing like the Japanese so please don’t reach for my hand 🙅🏻‍♀️when we meet, let’s just bow 😂 ). Wash your hands often & for 20 seconds (I hum Twinkle twinkle ⭐️ little star- it’s around 20 seconds 😊) . 2️⃣ AVOID TOUCHING YOUR EYES, NOSE OR MOUTH- I’ve preached this for years, but mainly to help you keep your mug flawless. I try not to touch my face once I’ve left my house. Hands touch many surfaces and can pick up viruses. Once contaminated, hands can transfer the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth. 3️⃣ Maintain social distance- if someone is coughing near you, it’s fine to maintain social distance (3 feet) but don’t go into an anti-Asian rant. And if you’re the one coughing or sneezing, for God’s sake cover your mouth (bent elbow or tissue). . 4️⃣ Stay aware but don’t get hysterical. For most healthy people, Coronavirus is not unlike any other respiratory virus. If you feel sick, seek medical attention immediately. 5️⃣ Be informed: so far, 75% of cases have been reported to be mild. Death rate from Coronavirus is at 2% in China with average age in the 70s (.01% mortality rate globally) . Coronavirus appears to be far less deadly than MERS (30% death rate) and SARS (10% death rate). . 6️⃣ Don’t panic! You can stock your pantry with extra non-perishable food and medical supplies but don’t go crazy and don’t be wasteful. Medial face masks are not proven to prevent contracting the virus and may actually give you a false sense of security thus becoming careless with the above tips. So save your money and stop hoarding face masks (a woman recently bragged to me she has 200 face masks stashed in her house- WTF?!)! There are actual sick people who can’t find nor afford face masks. If you’re that hoarder- please donate your stash. Last but not least, DON’T BE RACIST. You can still eat at your fave Chinese restaurants! Ok that’s it for now. Me keeping both eyes 👀 on the boy 🤣 all weekend. seriously, I have not been away from him on a weekend in over a year cuz this is the age where one bad decision could lead to a lifetime of regret. So I’ll happily be his Uber driver and personal assistant as long as he allows me the privilege. . More Tips for Moms of teen boys: 1️⃣ Don’t make them feel bad for being forgetful or disorganized. Their brains are going through a lot right now! 2️⃣ Instead of yelling or nagging at them, show them by example (even if they’re rebelling trust me when I say- they are watching our every move). Offer simple and practical solutions cuz remember, we are no longer full time managers of their lives- we are consultants here to guide and help them navigate this crazy time! 3️⃣ Don’t fight the small battles, win the WAR! When The boy wanted to paint his nails black on the weekends- I gave him my toxin free nail polish plus a 6 pack of polish remover. 💅🏼 . And count to 3 and BREATHE the next time they push your buttons 🤣 good luck to all of us!

UPDATE: just landed in LA! Holla if you’re here 😂 . A friend called me yesterday and the first thing she said to me was “where are you? I can’t keep up, you’re ALWAYS gone.” Funny thing is, I’m usually home but I bank content from my trips to post (cuz sitting here with Yoshi while on conference calls or working in my office isn’t so glamorous). I immediately went into defense mode, and listed off my 2020 travels thus far: 2 days in Jan in nyc for work, 3 days at NYFW, which is a total of 5 days in 2020 (we are at 50 days, so that’s 10%?! I think some dads spend more time than that on the golf course 😂)- with 2 days in LA upcoming. I then caught myself, WTF- I don’t need to explain what I do or where I go to anyone. I don’t go out for daily happy hour, I have a girls night maybe 3 times A YEAR. It’s not my problem that my work is really fun and looks like I’m on holiday 24/7. So why are my friends making me feel guilty for working if the hubby and boy don’t care?! (Said friend is a stay-at-home mom which in my opinion is harder). Anyway, don’t mean to rant but y’all just stay in your lane and I’ll stay in mine. 🤣 And no, I’m not in Milan for MFW but thanks to @Prada for this outfit - makes feel as if I’m front row with them ❤️
