A Brief On Blogs

We are still in shock over the hate emails from the fourth rate PR firm in Los Angeles and thought we should educate the ignorant PR girl on a few brief facts about blogs.

1. Out of the top 100 websites in the world, 22 are BLOGS.

2. Conde Nast, publishing giant of Vogue, Allure, GQ, etc has a company called Conde Net to develop…. BLOGS.

3. Cathy Horyn, New York Times fashion critic is known for her highly popular BLOG, On the Runway.

4. Robin Givhan, Fashion Editor of the Washington Post and Pulitzer Prize winner has a…. BLOG.

5. Over 57 million Americans read blogs- Blog readers average 23 hours online each week. Over 51% shop online- 25+million people that Zina Eva’s rep said they had “no use for”. (There are also hundreds of millions of people worldwide who read blogs, I guess they don’t have use for them either).

We are not done yet. Our fellow online publishing friends, Manolo the Shoeblogger, Fashion Tribes, 55 Secret Street, Najwa the Styleaholic, Kristopher Dukes, and many others will be posting their thoughts on this matter. Together, we reach MILLIONS. Stay tuned.

First rule in PR: never, ever, ever take revenge when things don’t go your way. You just pick yourself up and improve your pitch or your product.

what is wrong with that p.r creep — aside from not being professional enough to qualify as legitimate? writing you all those hate mails only affirms one thing. they are soooo small time (4th rate is a definite understatement), they’re so desperate that they’d do anything to have that what’s the name bag written about? who do they think they are? britney? lilo? paris? they should have a good reality check. trash is trash regardless of their attempts to get near the “birkin class”. or should i say, crass is crass??? im asian so i cant get over the you dont look european etc. where do these people come from? ignorant-land? if the best judge of a person is his family name then i suggest they have themselves baptized again as moron and idiot pr firm. (pr meaning pathetic relations)

I think she is operating on the bad pr is pr.

She came to get on the site with her bag. But when that didn’t work, what a better way to get PR then to ensue drama. Because now everyone will want to know why and check out the bag.

Not a fair way to play, but she will definitely get noticed.

I say quit feeding into the drama! No more mentioning of the icky bag or the PR for it.

As if that bag could ever get elevated to snob status!

hi bag snob girls – i read your blog everyday ( I live in Paris) – I love the fact that you don’t take yourselves too seriously. I love your honesty and the fact that you’re not afraid to put down big designers. I support you 100% and am very impressed at how fast your blog has grown and how successful it is. You’re an inspiration to all of us! It seems to me that a very small minded and jealous person would send those types of messages….as we say in Francais, quelle salope et quelle connasse!!!! Keep up the great work xo

There is “bad pr is pr” and then there is racism.

Sending more than a dozen hate filled emails with racist language is overboard. That’s above and beyond and Zina Eva is okay with racist hacks selling their wares, then I’ll be happy to see them out of business.

    Nichelle-

I completely forgot that in her quest for drama that she was completely ignorant and insulting to Tina and Kelly. Yet another reason to not endorse.
