Adriana Castro by Antonio De Felipe: Pop Life

Wow! Here’s to even more art as bag and bag as art. In celebration of Art Basel, exotic-skin mix-master Adriana Castro has applied the fierce talent and unique eye of acclaimed Spanish Pop artist Antonio De Felipe, whose work the designer fell for during one of her trips to Spain. The collaboration’s result is a harmonious yet trippy take on the ever-iconic visage of Audrey Hepburn, and I love it.

Set to be released in September 2015, in time for Fashion Month, the collection features the actress’ famed face on a selection of handmade exotic leathers in De Felipe’s signature coolly colorful, spray paint-inspired aesthetic. With sleek pouches, clutches, and satchels serving as the canvas for genuine works of contemporary art, the lines between these two worlds continue to blur. To that I say, blurriness has never looked so clearly good!

Not loving Audrey’s neck… She’s known for her slim long neck. Not the best representation.
