Alexander McQueen Chain-Embellished Leather Belt: Who’s the Boss?

This is the most insanely cool belt I have ever seen! It’s actually such a substantial piece that it feels morel like an outfit than just a belt. Alexander McQueen‘s bridle belt is so boss, all you need to do is put it on and the rest of your gear will follow.

And trust I’m going to do just that! It’s a myth that short girls cannot wear wide belts, and an unfair one at that when you find the rare one this fierce. As long as it’s cinched in the right place (tightly, at the absolute smallest part of your waist), you’ve got the look. This gleaming leather S&M-gone-chic number has a built-in cinch – the perfectly placed chains, creating the look of a belt-on-a-belt, break up the width and define your midsection with precision.

Go loose and flowy and let it add forceful shock value or stick with the no-nonsense strength this belt brings to your personality. Personally, I’m going to try both and everything in between. Over thin coats, boyish vests, structured jackets, loose T-shirts, sheer blouses: I want to wear it with everything! On Net-a-Porter for $2,225.

Pair with: Bound and buckled. This is no time for a slouchy shoe. Maintain the same structure along your foot with Balenciaga‘s snakeskin sandal, a strappy mélange of blood-wine suede and whipsnake. At Barneys New York for $1,295.
