With brands like Victoria Beckham now showing in London, LFW is more exciting than ever. That said there are less and less over-the-top beauty looks and more inspiration that we can actually translate into real life. The main takeaways from London are understated makeup (really!) and bold hair accessories. Here’s a look at standouts.
The best – and arguably only way – to do glitter tastefully was seen at Simone Rocha, where skin was kept clean and lips neutral.
I have a soft spot for Delpozo. I always love the collections (I wore one of their dresses to one of my wedding events last year) so I’m not surprised that they could make an over-the-top hair accessory work! Not only did the sculptural accessory beautifully complement the clothes, I could totally see someone wearing this to make an entrance (and then taking it off…). I would have worn it to my wedding brunch!
The beauty look at Roland Mouret was pretty reflective of the overall beauty trends in London. For the most part makeup was kept to a minimum (with the exception of the always over-the-top designers), but hair was more varied. Mouret showed everything from free flowing hair to tightly slicked back looks.
Victoria Beckham is back and making me wish I didn’t just cut of inches and inches of my hair!
Hair accessories continued their strong showing at JW Anderson.
Luckily strong brows continue to be a trend, as seen here at Mary Katrantzou. This Tom Ford product is amazing for filling in brows.
