Leather Leggings: Who’s the fairest of them all?

Remember when my beloved leather leggings from The Row leather leggings split in half? (TWICE?!) I’m still mourning them (they were the best fit but the quality was weird on that batch) but I know it’s time to try another brand. So I’ve narrowed down the list to the following:

1. Bird by Juicy Couture Magic Stretch leather leggings, $898- surprisingly has a really great fitting pair (I have them in distressed silver) but the problem is they stretch and bunch up after a few wears (as seen on model). If you are very petite, you’ll also need them tailored as they are very high waisted.

2. David Lerner Leather Leggings, $595- is my go to for any kind of leggings so I’m tempted to get these. There is jersey panel concealed on the inner leg which will come in handy on fat days when you’re squeezing yourself in them (never buy leather leggings with jersey on the waistband though, my Alice & Olivia pair is stretched and falls off!) but again, I’m concerned about them getting stretched out.

3. I Love that the Current Elliot leather leggings, $895- is sized like its jeans. It may mean a more accurate fit but all those pockets concern me as it won’t be as smooth and slimming on the hips.

I’ve decided to order them all (Shop Bop has best return policy!) to try on at home and hope to find one that is the perfect fit in time for fashion week! Do you have a pair of favorite leather leggings, other than The Row?! Share!

Please let us know which pair you end up liking the best, Tina! I am always on the lookout for a good pair. I was thinking of trying either the Current/Elliotts or a pair by Helmut Lang.

Danielle, I saw the Helmut Lang leggings, might add to my experiment as well… Shopbop has the best return policy so I have no fears when ordering a ton of stuff to try on. xoxo Tina
