I’ve grown up on homeopathic remedies like Rescue Remedy, which are very popular in Europe (both my parents are German). For YEARS I would put a few drops of Bach products on my tongue near-daily to help alleviate stress. In the last few months, however, I’ve replaced said remedies with CBD-infused products. From personal experience I find that while you don’t necessarily notice an immediate change, over time, if you take them regularly you’ll feel yourself more calm (or in my case, snapping less at people…). The CBD industry has exploded this last year and you can now get everything from CBD-infused popcorn and gummy bears to tincture, capsules and even beauty products!
While I like tinctures for stress, the beauty products are amazing for inflammation especially for those of us who travel or workout regularly. That’s right: CBD beauty products can up your fitness game. This brings up an important point to clear up – CBD products will not get you high! They will not give you the munchies either. Though hemp and marijuana are part of the same plant species, Cannabis sativa L., hemp contains less than 0.3 percent THC (the compound responsible for the psychoactive or ‘high’ feeling), whereas marijuana contains more than 0.3 percent THC.
CBD beauty products (I love Sagely Naturals) are a great help when it comes to workout recovery and I find that if I lather my legs in CBD-infused cream before and after I get on a plane, my legs tend to be less swollen, tired, and achy.
