I love nail art, especially in the summer, but I don’t often do it. It takes so much longer that I’ll only do it if I do gel, and I only do gel when I go on trips where I won’t have access to a manicure because I always peel the gel off! It’s a dirty habit I can’t kick. Needless to say I was excited to try some Olive and June nail art stickers. They sell on their website and also just launched at Target. The stickers are super fun and come in a bunch of great designs – unfortunately they’re hit or miss.
I first applied the flowers above. Literally 3/4 of the stickers ripped before I could apply them on my nails. Obviously they have to be very sticky to adhere to nails, but that means don’t opt for any shapes that are “complex”…like a flower with a bunch of thin petals. The hearts were easier to apply and while I read online people saying they don’t last more than a day, mine actually lasted three days before they started to peel off. Overall for the price – $7.50 – this is a great solution to in-salon nail art just shop thoughtfully for the designs to avoid breaking most of the stickers before they get to your nails. And don’t forget to finish them with a top coat!
