Givenchy Optical Medium Pandora Shoulder Bag

I adore Givenchy bags but am not blinded when they make a misstep (although am concerned staring at this bag may actually blind me).  But even the most fabulous of brands have off moments so I’m usually willing to give concessions but this is so beyond my comprehension of ugly that I am at a loss for words.  The graphics printed on sheepskin is what bothers me most but the design is also boring for what I’ve come to expect from Givenchy.  A single strap on the back for a large doctor style bag with zippered opening?  So when you open it all your belongings can tumble out?  The tiny pouchy thing under the exterior pocket makes no sense either, an afterthought perhaps?  Considering most Givenchy bags are under $1500 unless seriously loaded up with hardware, this is outrageously priced at $2,406!  Look look at it here if you want to amuse yourself but don’t blame me if your eyes hurt and you get a headache.

I definitely agree with you on the graphics,

but cannot agree with the design. I love this design, it’s so unique.

This bag looks like a kaleidoscopic mess.

I think you guys are awesome and I’m constantly checking your website to get the latest on Handbags.

P.S: Is luisaviaroma an authentic online retailer?

although i would normally think this type of bag is hideous…this particular one is kind of intriguing. it’s much better than the neon color palette that seems to be so popular lately. I feel like it’s a great casual bag that would go with almost everything– even though it does lack that touch of sophistication.

I agree with you on the graphics but not on the bag. I have this bag in black and it is stunning and fantastic! It doesn’t look like anything else out there which I love…

I must admit I loooooooove the bag 🙂 I have it in the most supple baby blue/grayish pebbled lamb leather (f/w 09/10 collection). And the shape is quite functional in fact – nothing tumbles out, that’s for sure.

Tina, let me just say Yes, I agree with your comments regarding the bag and…No, to the bag. So not me.

Agree with you on the print part but I have this bag in textured leather (black) and i have to say its my favorite bag so far. There are two zippers/compartments. One on the very top next to the handle that carries bigger items and the more visible one from the photo thats on the lower part so your stuff really just doesn’t fall out all over the place. Besides its unique look, its also very functional. I use it when I carry my slr camera and want to bring a spare lens and flash with me. Frees both my hands and very comfortable.

have to disagree as well but not about the print – which is pretty grim!

i have this model in black and have used it non-stop for well over a year.

practicality-wise it’s the best bag I own- and i own quite a few. The flap on the front is perfect for my oyster/travel card and i love the asymmetrical take on the strap/handle and no, nothing tumbles out EVER. Infact, I love it so much (and can’t find anything else out there that beats it) that I’m getting another in fawn for this summer.
