Gold for Gold: Golden Globes 2017

Golden Globes

In what was one of the most somber Golden Globes awards ever, a few sparkled in the color of the evening: yellow! Even Jimmy Fallon seemed lacking in high spirits and delivered a forced performance (I didn’t laugh once, whereas I laugh just looking at Amy Poehler and Tina Fey!). Besides the lackluster entertainment and less than interesting accessories, some stars appeared looking like wax figures (apparently they come battery operated nowadays). Which is why I was happy to see one of the sunniest of shades appear more than once. Standout yellow gowns ranged from daffodil to metallic- with my favorite being Natalie Portman in chartreuse Prada gown (best maternity gown I have ever seen!). Greenery may be the Pantone color of 2017 but I’m going for the gold!
What did you guys think of last night’s looks?

As much as I agree with Meryl Streep on the stance of Donald Trump, I Don’t feel the Golden Globes is the place to continue voice your political dissatisfaction. Oh yes, and the dresses were less than boring.
