Is tie-dye cool again?

I asked myself this question when I got a press release from Vita LA, a new activewear collection from Touché LA made up of 27 bright pieces, many of which have tie-dye accents. I’m curious to try something from the brand (haven’t yet) because the one set I have from Touché LA – they also own TLA by Morgan Stewart – ruined three loads of laundry before I threw it in the garbage! I wore and washed – on cold – a red TLA set three times and each time the red bleed all over the rest of the dark laundry I had in there. I’m loving the above set so I would hope that wouldn’t happen as it would not only ruin the other laundry but the set itself! (the red set I had looked exactly like the one above minus the tie-dye). In any case my interest in tie-dye was peaked and I would definitely venture to say that it’s cool again as long as it’s not overly colorful (except for this which I kind of totally love). It also adds humor and casualness to an outfit (see Gucci top below). As the weather gets colder this will be a trend that becomes harder and harder to pull off so I suggest trying it out now if your interest is peaked as well!
