Sometimes a kiss is more than a kiss (the best ones are, anyway!). That’s certainly the case with my new NH 1300 necklace from Nouvel Heritage. I love the idea that you never own jewelry; you’re merely holding it for the next generation. And as one of the most sentimental pieces I’ve collected, this diamond-encrusted treasure will surely be passed on and cherished. Not only can you engrave a name on the side of the charm, but it also comes engraved with your – or a loved one’s – pout.
All you need to do for this is apply lipstick, kiss a piece of paper, take a photo of the paper, and send it to the company! Pretty easy, right? That was all a part of founder Camille Parruitte’s plan. As she told me, “I wanted to create a brand to bridge the gap between old world artisanal techniques of jewelry making with the modernity of the online world, so we decided to start offering our pieces exclusively online. Each piece is one-of-a-kind or personalized and handmade by artisans in our Paris workshops.” Bespoke gifts like these are just the kind we dream of receiving for Valentine’s Day, but I wouldn’t mind more of these kisses either (here’s hoping my hubby is reading the blog today!).
