Minerals of this earth and hues far beyond it serve as the inspiration for MAC’s latest collection (from shopping to sailors, their ability to switch gears at the drop of a micro-season always keeps me on my toes). Even if we’re talking eye shadow, our skin craves something different this time of year – something that feels natural and absorbs sweat.
Along with a plethora of mineralized makeup, MAC is re-releasing their Mineralized Volcanic Ash Exfoliator for the summer (and we know exfoliating is the key to savvy faux-bronzing, face included).
Lipsticks ($14.50) and Cremesheen Glass ($19) run the usually appealing gamut of nudes, pearly pinks, and corals, while Mineralize Skinfinish ($29), Blush ($23), and Eyeshadow ($20) get a little otherworldly. Rippled with colors from bronze (Earthshine ought to make for a good allover glow) to magenta and gold (Supernova might be the go-to summer blush for the daring set) to blends of electric-blue and frost-green (Sky) and burnt natural (Neo Nebula) eye shadows, those who like their hues shaken, and a little stirred up, will jump all over these colorful mixes.
Available from July 5th-August 19th.
