I first started considering men’s fragrances for women when Tom Ford launched his unisex line (I’m still obsessed, years later, with White Suede). Fast-forward a few years and my husband was spritzing himself with Le Male Popeye Eau Fraiche by Jean Paul Gaultier…it’s intoxicatingly good! So I was naturally curious about the newest launch, Le Male In The Navy. I prefer Le Male Popeye, but the new one has a salty marine vibe that I’m loving as well. Don’t be thrown off by the description of the notes, which include mint… my nose didn’t pick up on it at all! It comes in JPG’s signature, perfect-for-holiday, packaging!
I also need to single out Paco Rabanne. I don’t know if it’s still true, but I remember years ago hearing that the brand’s mens scents are sold more around the world than any other brand. The original 1 Million is aaaamazing. My father wears it nearly every day and my mother uses the men’s spray deodorant. It’s impossible not to love, if you’re looking for a sexy, woodsy scent. I wasn’t sure if Lucky could live up to it, but it does! It’s actually quite different from the original. I find it more sweet, but it shares the coziness of the original – it’s so great for holiday; it makes me want to cozy up in front of a fireplace and sleep!!
Yes, I’m slightly obsessed with Paco Rabanna. Especially for the price. If you have Tom Ford taste, but are on a budget, it doesn’t get any better. I like the 1 Million collection best because it’s sweet, woody, and sexy (reminds me of Tom Ford’s White Suede), but for anyone looking for something fresher, checkout Paco Rabanne Invictus Aqua. The scent has salty aquatic notes. If you’re looking for something fresh, but hate florals, this is a great option.
I’ve been wearing Les Eaux de Chanel a lot lately. They’re very, very light. I spray double the amount I typically do. They’re not designed for this, but I often layer two of them together (Jo Malone-style).
Bvlgari Au The Vert is another great find. It’s a classic unisex fragrance from the house.
UOMO Salvatore Ferragamo Signature is another popular masculine scent that women love. Key fragrance notes include grapefruit, mandarin, cardamom, cinnamon, and patchouli.
Lastly, Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Eau De Toilette Spray is a spicy woody scent making it a great choice for the cold weather we’re about to suffer through…
