Last night hundreds of fashion’s biggest stars graced the red-carpeted steps of the Met for its annual gala, including the always on-point, Oscar de la Renta-clad SJP – the brightest star of all, though, was Zac Posen. From his billowing gowns on Liu Wen, Sarah Silverman, Karen Elson, and Maggie Q. to Dita von Teese’s poofy fishtail number, no other designer dressed as many of the evening’s standouts – and he did so while staying on theme with the dramatic gowns, tight bodices, and geometric angles made famous by Charles James. That said, sometimes going off theme can be a good thing. Case in point? Lupita! It’s pretty much a scientific fact that she can do no wrong. Her feathered, jeweled, and sequined Prada is just another example of this in what’s been an endless line of perfect picks. The dress is more Gatsby flapper than ‘50s glam, but as long as she looks this stunning, who cares? Let us know who was your favorite of the night in the comments below!
