Following the surprisingly natural runway beauty looks in London, here’s a look at the Milan standouts so far. The main takeaway as with the other cities thus far is that healthy skin is key! Of course that’s easier said than done, which is why it’s especially important to make sure your beauty bag is up to snuff as we transition from fall to winter (read more about that here). Now is also the time to start experimenting with hair accessories – great news for anyone who does’t have a lot of time to style their hair! See some key inspiration below.
Turban-chic at Brunello Cucinelli! Hair accessories continue to prevail in Milan (La DoubleJ was another fave).
Arthur Arbesser is making a strong case for the bowl look with this hair cut.
The Jil Sander show was a reminder at how nothing is more important than healthy skin – as someone who easily breaks out (I have PCOS which makes me very acne-prone) I understand it’s easier said than done. A key for this is using only oil-free skincare products and exfoliating daily with gentle chemical exfoliating wipes.
Alberta Ferretti’s eye look was a more subtle red than at other designers (see above Arthur Arbesser, for example), and it’s a great alternative to the classic black cat eye. Make sure to use a shadow brush to blend it into the crease as well as for the lower lash line.
