If there’s one shoe of the season that I’m living for, it’s the platform mule. I wore them pretty much every day in the ’90s in a variety of colors and styles; a certain pair in particular was the standout, though – Ferragamos that I kept until they literally fell apart on the streets of NYC. In fairness, they served me well. Once, I walked from Kelly’s Upper East Side apartment all the way down to her office at Mark Eisen in the Fashion District, where I was helping out after graduating from USC. No shoes will ever replace those, but I was thrilled to see Narciso send some modern mules down the runway back in February. Now that they’re for sale, you know I’m picking them up in a couple of styles – black ($895) and multicolored python
($1,095). In honor of Frugal Friday, I’ve also pulled together some wallet-friendlier versions too!
Joie Raja Platform Mule (at Nordstrom for $325)
MICHAEL Michael Kors Isabella Platform Mules (at Macy’s for $165)
Elizabeth & James Raffia Platform Clog (at The RealReal for $95)
Calvin Klein Lina Peep Toe Mule (at Nordstrom for $128.95)
Love the Calvin Klien peep to mule. Really stylish heel on it also. Price is reasonable for the brand.
Like these Mules. I found findshoedeals.com to be a single place to find all the Mules/Heels/Pumps one wants to buy. Very convenient thank jumping through various websites.
