Last night I was delighted to join Cate Blanchett, her longtime stylist Elizabeth Stewart, Sarah Rutson of NET-A-PORTER, and other high-profile fashion lovers for an intimate dinner at LA’s Chateau Marmont in celebration of Hollywood style. Aptly enough, the city’s power stylists came out in droves (Rachel Zoe, Mary Alice Haney, and Jennifer Rade, who styles Angelina Jolie, just to name a few!), along with designers Jennifer Meyer, Monique Lhuillier and Kendall Conrad.
I’ve never seen so many well-dressed women in one room! I was over-stimulated, but in the best way imaginable. I caught up with my favorite LA designers and discovered new ones like Daniela Villegas who was wearing multiple rings on each finger, including a solid gold llama with a diamond necklace around its neck. Of course, it was also a pleasure to see the Great Cate, a star who is not only my favorite actress, but also my ultimate style crush (she sported all-black in an embellished Alex Wang vest
, turtleneck
, and pants
for the occasion). Now that I know she depends on Elizabeth Stewart in the fashion arena, I’ll be stalking her, as well as we all know behind every well-heeled celebrity is her dedicated, hard working stylist. For more wardrobe inspiration, check out the latest Resort 2016 pieces on NET-A-PORTER…
