Yes, I’m still thinking about Paris Fashion Week. There’s really no bigger or better week in the world of fashion. This season Paris Fashion Week was awash with romantic moments, shining shows, and of course, mesmerizing collections. When it comes to all-around inspiration there were a few that did it better than the rest.
Valentino ready-to-wear was a fitting follow up to the couture show, and was the perfect balance of color and noir. I live and breathe for that leather cape! Seriously – I feel like it’s the perfect outerwear for any situation. Girls night out? Yes. Running to Target in the middle of the night? Of course.
Alexander McQueen designer Sarah Burton gave us tailoring perfection, but the pièce de résistance was the stunningly sparkling silver dress that has been in my dreams every night since I saw it.
There are few things as quintessentially Parisian as Chanel. Karl Lagerfeld’s final collection for the iconic house was classic and sophisticated (and has me digging out all of my houndstooth.)
Farewall and au revior – until next season, that is.
