Reed Krakoff Mini Shoulder Bag

iconOfficially joining the Reed Krakoff fan club– this mini shoulder bag in contrasting colors is giving me severe heart palpitations. Love the use of powder soft hues– it’s on trend with color blocking without in your face colors. Petite cross-body style bags are my thing– nothing is more useful while looking stylish. Plus on the airplane you can carry a tote and a carry-on luggage on while this dangles on your body innocently (I’ve done it and they do not notice!).  But if cross-body style is not your thing, the strap doubles up as a shorter shoulder strap.  To quote a friend in London, BRILLS!

    Bagsnob Tina,

I am considering buying the Derek Lam large Ume crossbody b/c like you said, crossbody bags are SO convenient! I am 5’2, and was wondering if you think it’s too big for a petite person (you’re tiny yourself!)? I can’t get my hands on one to try it on. Please help! Thanks.

Reed Krakoff’s stuff is so bland and over-priced. After years working at Coach, home of ultra-tacky logo prints and over-sized metallic hardware, now he is rebelling by being as minimalist as possible. This bag looks so utilitarian, like something they would give away free at a hospital, complete with orthopedic beige accents.

Also.. Maybe the airlines don’t say anything when you drag extra stuff onto the plane but believe, me, we all notice, and judge you for cluttering up the overhead bins. Honey, if you can afford to shell out for a Reed Krakoff bag please do us a favor and pay $25 to check your bag!

Honey, some of us just don’t like our luggage being thrown or misplaced… It is not about trying to save extra $ 25…

My heart skipped a few beats when I saw this as well. Love the airplane idea, not sure why some people think you’re the devil because you try to keep your things nice.

It’s not the person with the small “extra” bag that should be called out; it’s the flyer who thinks it is totally acceptable to spend 10 days in CA and then pack everything they own into an oversized (craptastic) bag and somehow still get it on the place. Then proceed to throw elbows in everyone’s face trying to fit it into the overhead compartment….

Just saw this colorway in Las Vegas, in the Boxer, OMG its simply stunning. Once you feel, inspect, smell, and carry a Krakoff you instantly understand the price point. They are amazing. The one downside I learned from the SA is that most of them are constructed in Asia. The construction is still supurb but you know the cost of labor is much lower then it would be in Europe. In any case I’m still lusting after the $7900 croc/felt Boxer. Love!
