It’s not always easy to motive myself to get to Barry’s Bootcamp (my “gym”). Worse, I find that when I am most in need of a workout, I want to go the least. Now that I’ve been stuck at home for a few weeks staying motivated to move every day via a home workout has been more challenging than ever. I hate working out alone. What has helped most is that I keep “dressing up.” I pick out a cute workout set as though I was working out in a 40-person class and hoping on the subway to get there. Connecting virtually with others via Zoom helps too. But I don’t stop there. I have a habit of drinking 1.5 liters of water post workout. I don’t let myself get into my apartment before the apartment is empty. To keep up this habit even though I don’t leave my home, every day after I finish my workout I pack my gym bag as though I will be taking it to workout the next day – I put my water, my towel, my face wash etc. I’m obsessed with this Caraa Studio Tote. I can stash it in my living room where I workout. It’s not bulky yet has a ton of organized storage (including for bottle and shoes!).
As far as workout sets I must have the Alala one above. I not only love Alala but am so inspired by the brand’s founder, Denise Lee. Besides Alala, Koral’s clothes always make me feel good about myself. I’ve rounded up a few cute workout sets, from Koral and other brand, that I hope motivate you to get moving despite the tough circumstances.
