Stowaway Cosmetics: Touch Up and Go

Stowaway Cosmetics

New week, new makeup brand to tell you about! Stowaway Cosmetics is for women who like to touch up throughout the day and night (maybe I should say especially at night?!). And that’s all of us, no? Julie Fredrickson, founder of one of the first fashion blogs (Coutorture) and a longtime acquaintance of ours, and her friend Chelsa Crowley decided to create the company when the two were comparing makeup bags over breakfast (our kind of girls!). Realizing all the extra heft women tote around, they developed a line of portable beauty products. Besides being easy to carry, the smaller size also ensures you’ll actually finish these before the expiration dates. I cringe thinking about how much money I’ve thrown away over the years.

I’m pretty set in my ways so it’s tough to get me to use different makeup, but I fell in love with Stowaway the minute I patted the Creaseless Concealer ($16) on my dark circles. You know I’m a Concealer Snob, and to me, this is one of the best in the market. The creamy formula offers complete coverage that won’t settle into the lines around the eyes, and again, the size is so perfect; it fits into my tiniest of bags (even our wallets!). I’m also obsessed with the Defined Lash Mascara ($12). Its unique brush allows me to get every last lash, even the baby ones in the inner corners. And even though it’s small enough to fit in your jean pocket, the full-sized applicator offers all the lash-thickening and lengthening you could ever hope for.

While those are my two favorites, I’d recommend going all in and getting a full Stowaway kit ($75); with that, you’ll be ready for anything day or night. It’s perfect for sleepovers at your BFF’s (or boyfriend’s!) and last-minute weekend trips. The set comes with a BB cream, concealer, cheek and lip rouge, lipstick, eyeliner, and mascara, and you get to customize which hue you’d like of each so there’s no worry about getting a lipstick you won’t use – or worse, a concealer that in no way matches your skin. Check out all the colors here!

Would this be the same Chelsa that cheated her way into the Boston Marathon by stealing someone’s bib number?
