I just returned from a week long cruise through the Japanese islands – was surprised to find the most pristine white sand beaches in the Miyako and Ishigaki islands! Sunny blues and turquoise waters are what summer dreams are made of and I am dreading returning to the office. Luckily, it’s easy to perk up my wardrobe and bring the sky to work. Though it won’t be anything close to sitting idly on the beach, but sky blue makes me happy! Did you know blue was considered the most delicate and feminine of colors prior to the 20th century? It’s definitely the new pink, or is it the old pink? Whatever the case, these are pieces I plan on picking up asap to avoid the summer Monday blues!
Alexandra Clancy Robinson Sky Blue Bucket Bag ($950): Love this super fun take on the classic bucket tote from NYC designer Alexandra Clancy.
Dolce & Gabbana Crystal-Embellished Lace Pumps (on NET-A-PORTER for $925): Lace and crystal for work?! Why not! It’s bad enough you’re getting FOMO from all your annoying friends posting Ibiza photos!
Staud Pietro Cropped Satin Wide-Leg Pants (on NET-A-PORTER for $150): I’m obsessed with pajama pants though I blame them for my current weight gain. Pair them with a crisp white shirt and you’re office ready.
Prada Pussy-Bow Cotton-Poplin Shirt (on NET-A-PORTER for $573)
House of Lafayette Johnny Straw Panama Hat (at Barneys New York for $325): Ok this is a stretch for work, but you can saunter in with it on and put it back on to skip off to lunch.
