Sometimes the most exciting part of a vacation is coming back home. When the homesickness hits, a little reminder of what’s waiting for you at the end of your journey is the cure. Dior’s Flag Tote hits the spot. Not only does it have plenty of space for all of my must-have travel accessories (and impromptu purchases), it’s much more than just a gorgeous bag. It’s a summer travel staple that tells a story.
A reimagining of the classic Book Tote, more than one million embroidered stitches grace the tote’s surface, each one representing Christian Dior’s transatlantic trip to Dallas in 1947. It was Monsieur Dior’s first visit to the United States – a voyage he took just after the release of his first collection in Paris – and has become an unforgettable moment in the history of a house that has gone on to craft some of the most iconic bags of all time.
Designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, the bright flag print and stunning detailing serves as a reminder of the great inspiration that America has to offer. Plus, Dior’s lucky stars feature prominently in the design, which means I’m sure to face good fortune all summer long!
It’s available exclusively in US boutiques and online (sorry, international Snobs!) and is highly collectable, so be sure to pick it up before it sells out.
