Matt and Nat Vegan-friendly Bags $80 – $125

We know you’ve pegged us as fur lovin’- leather totin’ -meat eatin’ chicks who have nothing better to do but make fun of sense and style challenged celebs (and you’d be absolutely correct!) so we wanted to show you our softer and kinder side. No, we’re not going to stand naked behind display windows at Stella McCartney but we will tell you where to find Vegan friendly bags by Matt and Nat. A fave of Gwyneth, Natalie Portman, and other self righteous starlets because they use 100% cruelty free synthetic leathers. Matt and Nat claim their bags can pass for “real animal leathers”, which brings me to a thought, why the hell would you want a bag that looks and feels like leather if the whole point is to discourage the use of leather? It’s like the buddhist vegan restaurants we used to go to that had soy products made to look like shrimp or meatballs, doesn’t that defeat the purpose of being vegetarian if you’re ‘pretending’ to eat meat? Anyway, whatever, here is our contribution to PETA awareness and politically correctness. Matt and Nat Bags at Luna Boston and One more thought, so it’s better to promote the use of PVC synthetic leather that is known to cause environmental pollution and certain cancers in HUMANS? Just a thought.

Ooh la love. I didn’t think it was possible, but I love you more for your glossy, sarcastic celebration of vegan’s and their silliness.

Finally, someone stand up and says that! thankyou Bagsnob! honestly, they want to spread the use of synthetic, cancer-causing materials while parading their products as “just like leather”. why would they WANT something to look like the skin of a “cruelly murdered animal”? so dumb, honestly. i am totally against PETA. humans were meant to use leathers for whatever beautiful bag they want to! wake up people, its called the FOOD CHAIN! ps. love your blog.

Matt & Nat bags are not made out of leather. Vegan accessories have come a long way from the days of all-PVC. Their synthetic leathers are definitely no worse for the world than the awful stuff used to tan and preserve real leather. We vegans may be silly, by we’re always trying to improve.

And unless you’re eating your purse, it is not “the FOOD CHAIN.” I think there are valid arguments against veganism, but idiocy doesn’t make a great one.

Um, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure it out…

Vegans eat soy products that taste like meat and buy synthetic bags that look like leather for one reason: They want to eat good food and have cute things without contributing to the torture and slaughter of animals.

Why call people who sacrifice their own desire to eat meat (or wear leather) to spare animals “silly,” “self-righteous,” and “dumb”? They’re not calling BagSnobs “selfish,” “cruel,” or “shallow.”
