Tina Craig x Nouvel Heritage : Modern Luxury

The Sparkles diamond ring, hand-crafted in 18k rose gold and diamonds. Also available at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Forty Five Ten Houston, Luisa Via Roma, Ylang 23 and The Webster

One of the most fun aspects of my job is designing collaborations with brands I respect. And one of the most special collaborations I’ve done to date is the collection with Nouvel Heritage— Tina Craig x Nouvel Heritage- the perfect marriage of old world French heritage and modern world style.

I discovered Nouvel Heritage over a year ago when they offered to make a necklace with my lip print on it. To be honest, I never had any desire to wear my own kiss on a necklace but I was intrigued. I kissed a sheet of paper, took a photo of it and emailed it to them. I thought it would be a novelty piece, a fun item I would wear and put away. I certainly did not expect a meticulously hand-crafted heirloom jewel to arrive at my doorstep a few weeks later.

To say I was impressed with my new jewel would be the understatement of the year. Not only was my lip print hand engraved on a heavy 18k gold necklace pendant, it was covered with another 18k gold pendant of glittering white diamonds. I became obsessed and wanted to learn more about this mysterious new heritage brand. Not long after, Nouvel Heritage invited me to visit its workshops in Paris at the Place Vendome and an invitation to create a special piece in collaboration, obviously I jumped at the opportunity!

It was incredible to tour the workshop in Place Vendome, the heart of European jewelry. I thought these types of traditional jewelry workshops ceased existing long ago!

Even much of the tools the well skilled craftsmen used were over 100 years old! What was most interesting was the workshop’s ability to retain the heritage of fine French craftsmanship with modern technology like 3D casting machines and software to assist in initial designs. But ultimately, each piece is crafted by hand.

What was to be a single piece collab became a twelve piece collection after my first meeting with Camille Paruitte, the young founder of the brand. Since working with Camille, our mutual admiration and respect has only grown and we can’t wait to shower the world our jewels!

Our unique SOC pins (pronounced Sosh) below were inspired by the round golden diamond pins worn by socialites in the 1920s to denote their place in society. Multi-functional and versatile, they may be worn as brooches, choker pendants, single earrings and necklace pendants. I also like wearing them as cuff links! You are only limited by your own imagination.

The “Bradshaw“, named after my all time favorite TV character, in 18k white gold, diamonds and sapphires.

The “Dagny“, as in Taggart from one of my all time favorite books, in 18k rose gold, diamonds and black onyx. I love wearing a pair of these as cufflinks.

The “Talullah“, another female fictional character I love. Also inspired by my love of art deco design– in 18k yellow gold, white diamonds, black diamonds and pink tourmaline. When I asked for diamond fringes, the skilled design and production didn’t blink an eye. The result is one of the most stunning pieces of jewelry I’ve ever laid eyes on. Also available at Luisa Via Roma

Velvet and diamond chokers with 18k gold adjustable clasps. To be worn alone or with our SOC pins.

Our Deco inspired earrings in 18k rose gold and black onyx. I love mis-matched earrings, such a great statement making piece!

Sparkles signet ring is also a favorite with the boys! Get it here.
