Top Skirt Trend: Snob or Slob?

I’ve been warming up to the Victoria Beckham line of frocks lately but these two are just not doing it for me what with the apron inspired top skirt.  While other designers make peplums flirty and cute, VB’s version looks more like a uniform for a hotel hostess, albeit a very chic one.  Yes, the top skirt is removable but you are still paying extra for it.  What do you think of the top skirt trend?  Isn’t one skirt enough?

Jennifer Hudson wore this to the Grammy’s and looked really good! The peplum is a bit much, but I can appreciate the detail on it.

i love the topskirt trend, i see it as a feminine way to add a layer and not look goth or unorganized. i feel like this look will work well on most bodies and can make a classic look more vintage or glamorous.
