When Victoria Beckham released her style guide, That Extra Half an Inch, in 2007, in which she stresses the importance of, yes, an extra half-inch when it comes to shoes, she was one year shy of becoming a designer. Eight years later, not only is she the designer of some of the most coveted ready-to-wear pieces around, she has expanded her empire to shoes. All I can say is: hurray!
Victoria knows what women want and she delivers (perhaps because she designs pieces she herself wants, first and foremost). Coming in at a leg-lengthening six inches, the velvet and suede platform sandals have a comfort-perfect pitch and display a dreamy combo of bottle-green velvet, black suede, and hot pink and tan leather piping. Then when you walk to get back down to earth for a bit, switch over to her point-toe flats. With floral appliqués, the white leather version exudes Western cool; in leopard-print calf hair, they’re as classic as they are spicy. From a whopping six inches to an easy, stacked single inch, Victoria proves she can make any amount of heel work in her favor. Platform sandals, $1,695, and point-toe flats in white
or leopard print
