What’s in My Bag?

I’ve been fortunate enough to work with some of the best photographers in the fashion industry, and one of my favorites is none other than my dear, dear friend Lee Oliveira. All you need to look to are his multiple titles to understand the breadth of his talent. As a stylist, art director, photographer, and contributor to the New York Times, Lee is the man behind so many of the beautiful images we rip out of magazines, save to our Pinterest boards, and share with fellow fashion lovers.

From Florence to NYC and now to Paris, shooting with him is always a memorable experience. To say that the man is a perfectionist would be a serious understatement. I’ve come to learn that it’s best to do what I’m told, even when that means I must stand in 6” Guccis on an open window ledge while it’s sleeting! That’s where I found myself on the 4th floor of the Park Hyatt Paris this past Fashion Month, braving my fear of heights. Lee always gets the best of me, and I trust his styling implicitly. When asked to wear my silk J. Crew pajama top with my new Gucci lace pants, I didn’t hesitate for a moment. In fact, it became my favorite look of the week (I even wore it to the Hermès show)!

That isn’t the only outfit we shot, though. Click on over to his website to sneak a peek at his new series “What’s in Her Bag?” I spilled the contents of my pastel pink Nancy Gonzalez satchel for Lee and shared a few of my other must-have accessories for spring. And don’t forget to check back often for his future features! With as much traveling and shooting as he does, you’ll never be at a loss for wardrobe inspiration again.

Eeek those shoes kill me! Are they hard to walk in? Really thinking about it but is it a worthy splurge? Thank you! F
