I’m heading to Davos, Switzerland next week for the Movado summit and to say that I don’t have the wardrobe is an understatement. I spend most of the winter in Tel Aviv far away from the Manhattan chill. Needless to say I’ve been dwindling my free time scrolling around for some cold-weather fashion inspo. While I won’t be skiing (too dangerous!) I will be out enjoying some hot chocolate-filled apres ski (hopefully) and there’s a slay ride on the books. I love the fitted Aviator Nation jacket ($850) above. I live in their cozy hoodies and sweatpants and this jacket seems like it will be a versatile pick for a schedule that takes me from inside to outside throughout the day.
As far as layering pieces go for my morning workouts, I love this Expedition Fleece Vest for Janji ($86). Janji is still relatively under-the-radar, but they’re a wonderful mission-driven athletic brand. Their profits go to support clean water initiatives in poor countries.
Sweaty Betty might be best known for their activewear fit for boutique studio workouts, but they also make some incredible ski items. Their base layers are the perfect blend of comfort, function, and fashion.
I will always have a sweet-spot for Jean-Charles de Castelbajac (the OG Moschino!). A decade ago when I attended, for the first time, Paris Fashion Week, I was at his show and Sasha Baron Cohen – in character for his upcoming film – crashed the show! No one in Paris had any idea what was going on. I shot some videos and I think, in this pre-Instagram era, I was the only one who recognized him. Fast-forward and he now has a ski collection with Rossignol that will sure to have anyone standout on the slopes.
Gap is one of the best for affordable options. The above sweater was so warm and cozy at one point while wearing this in NYC I was actually too warm! There are also almost always sales going on.
Athleta has a number of great picks, many of which are currently on sale.
