White Out: The white booties you need this fall

I am not even going to discuss the tired old argument of wearing white after Labor Day. It was just a ruse started by retail industry to get you to buy new shoes after summer. Trust me on this, white after Labor Day is not only okay- it’s actually a must this season. Especially in the form of white booties! I just got these Gucci booties myself, the stripes add just enough interest and is surprisingly not as limiting as you would think.

Gucci Sylive Stripe Leather Ankle Boot (at Neiman Marcus for $1,190)

Derek Lam Montparnasse Booties (on Farfetch for $340, from $850) For those who are height blessed, a little Victorian heel is just the thing.

Dorateymur Saloon Buckled Patent-Leather Ankle Boots (on NET-A-PORTER for $515) I love the western detail on this bootie. A great alternative to your cowboy boots!

3.1 Phillip Lim Kyoto Leather Sock Boots (on NET-A-PORTER for $795) Feeling Mod this season? So is Phillip Lim. The block heel and fitted ankles make them one of the most flattering booties right now.

Diane von Furstenberg Mollo Booties (on Shopbop for $348) If you prefer a shorter boot, these are more like shoes.

Marc Jacobs Ryder Lace Up Ankle Boots (on Shopbop for $495) You know how I feel about the 90s- Marc Jacobs’ ode to our favorite era is already in my shopping cart.

Nasty Gal They Don’t Stud a Chance Vegan Leather Booties (at Nasty Gal for $90) If you’re hesitating, try out the trend for under $100. Nasty Gal has the perfect starter white bootie. You can always trade up later.

The Sylvie booties are great walking shoes!
